Fr. Gregory Jensen PhD.

Protopresbyter Gregory Jensen, PhD, is the pastor of Ss. Cyril & Methodius Ukrainian Orthodox Church in Madison, Wisconsin. He holds the rank of Protopresbyter of the Ecumenical Throne, an honor bestowed by the Ecumenical Patriarch in recognition of his over 40 years of faithful service to the Orthodox Church.


Fr. Gregory earned his Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) from Duquesne University, with advanced work in moral theology, social ethics, and pastoral thought. He serves the Ukrainian Orthodox Church of the USA at the national level as a member of the Metropolitan Council, contributing to the Church’s governance, policy, and long-term vision.

In addition to his parish and church-wide responsibilities, Fr. Gregory is a professor at St. Sophia Ukrainian Orthodox Theological Seminary, where he teaches and mentors seminarians in theology, ethics, and pastoral formation. His ministry is characterized by rigorous theological engagement, fidelity to the Orthodox tradition, and a commitment to forming mature, thoughtful, and prayerful Orthodox Christians.
